The Hotel Antica Repubblica is located in the historical centre of Amalfi, at only 100 metres from the sea, the beach and the tourist jetty.
The Hotel is situated at only 20 metres from the Duomo Square and it is directly reachable from the road, by climbing about 30 steps.
The Hotel derives its name from the historical fame of Amalfi as powerful Ancient Seafaring Republic that is, constantly, perceivable through the details characterizing the welcoming and elegant hotel.
The seven hotel's bedrooms, in fact, are marked by the names of the most illustrious personages of the Amalfi Society of the XI century (The Damsel, The Bride, The Judge, The Knight, The Count, The Consul, The Page boy), the same personages who every year, during the traditional boat race of the Ancient Seafaring Republics, enliven the historical procession.
The logo of the Hotel, representing the Tarì, the coin of Amalfi since the half of the X century up to 1222, wants to be another tribute to the extraordinary powerful of the city that makes Amalfi the queen of the Mediterranean freight traffics and diplomatic relations.
All the Bedrooms are provided of air conditioning, fridge, Satellite TV, ISDN telephone, PC socket, hairdryer, safe and are distributed like this:
