The magnificent Villa, made in mediaeval architectural style, is a complex inserted halfway on top of the rocks, offering fabulous views over the azure blue sea. It is dominated at the top by the ancient Scarpariello's Tower and is divided into 8 apartments, surrounded by beautiful gardens stretching out into the sea, embellished by statues, ancient marble finds, paths and small staircases.
Villa Scarpariello, situated in Castiglione, a Ravello's hamlet, about 1 Km. from Amalfi, is provided of private swimming pool, filled with sea water, an equipped solarium area near the sea and surrounded by the mediaeval fortress' battlements, a private access to the sea, a private jetty to berth small boats, several equipped terraces to enjoy the fresh and panoramic site, a private parking. All the apartments are furnished with precious antique pieces.
EGLE is an apartment of 100 mq. occupying the lower floor of a mediaeval style building, including three romantic apartments, characterized by wonderful balconies, overlooking the sea and the unrivalled landscape, framed by arches and marble columns.
The panoramic apartment is reachable from a garden area, embellished by amphoras and marble columns, supporting the perfumed lemon terrace, equipped with external tables and chairs. An ideal place to stop outside and to enjoy, in total relax and privacy, the magic coast landscape.
EGLE is furnished in antique style, it is provided of air conditioning, heating system, telephone connected to the villa's reception, it is fully covered with hand-crafted majolica tiles and it is composed of:
1 bright living room, furnished with antique furniture, sofa, television, a large balcony opening on the wonderful loggia, framed by arches, marble columns and mediaeval fortress' battlements, suspended on the sea, a mullioned window opening on the panoramic loggia,1 double bedroom with balcony opening on the loggia, 1 small equipped kitchen (fridge, cooker with 4 gas stoves, hood, microwave oven, table, chairs) with a small terrace with sea view, 1 second double bedroom with a window sea view , 1 bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom with mullioned window, opening on the staircase with large arch windows, leading to the building's lower floors, 1 wonderful terrace, equipped with table and chairs, framed by mediaeval style arches, columns, amphoras and mediaeval fortress' battlements.
The EGLE's guests can make use of the Villa Scarpariello's services such as the swimming pool, the solarium, the private access to the sea, the private jetty, the equipped terraces, the supervised parking, and they can simply reach, by car or bus (at 50mt. from the entrance on the road there is the bus stop), the near Amalfi (about 1 Km.), with its maritime and earthly connections to the coast, the famous Ravello (about 4 Km.) and other interesting Campania's and Coast's sites such as Positano, Capri, Ischia and Procida Islands and the fascinating principal town Naples.
Residence Villa Scarpariello disposes on a well-known restaurant too,"Villa San Michele" (about 450 meters from the residence).
The restaurant is placed in the middle of a park from which is possible to reach the sea and enjoys itself with one of the most pleasant panorama of the Amalfi Coast.
It's built with glasses respecting the surrounding Mediterranean nature and mixing magnificently with it.
Dipino's family works since generations in the hospitality and refreshment (feeding) fields. Mrs. Rosa Mammato and the Chef Giuseppe Cretella day by day take personally care of the menu, choosing only the best aliments that in that moment are available on the Coast, as appetizers composed by typical Lattari Mountains' products as local sausages and lemons or changing completely the scene with fresh caught fish.
Lagane, Scialatielli, Gnocchi and Crespolini represent the state of the art in first dishes and they can't miss as home - made pasta in the foods' list.
To guarantee the total satisfaction of your palate, the fish, that prevails our zone's second dishes, fruit and vegetables, will be carefully selected taking in consideration the climate, even if most of the time is really temperate, and the seasons.
Cakes and dessert represent the sweetest chapter in local cooking: Pastiere, Crostate , Torta Caprese , Delizie al limone, Torta al Limone , il Babà , il Pasticciotto leave us with a big doubt: are they more beautiful or more tasteful? We leave to our guests the pleasure to understand it.
