The accommodation CASA "LENA" is situated in the picturesque village of Conca dei Marini, characterised by its enchanting bay, with the ancient tower of Capo di Conca, rising from the sea. The tower bears the memories of foregone times in which pirates invaded this area. This fertile land bears the scent of citrus fruit and wild herbs and is a true oasis of tranquillity, with a lot of green, in this popular coastal region in Campania. Conca dei Marini is conveniently situated for Amalfi and Positano, the imposing Grotta dello Smeraldo, the cloister of Santa Rosa and for the most splendid beaches. It is probably one of the best kept secrets on the Amalfi Coast.
CASA LENA is a tidy, independent accommodation that can be reached by descending a few stairs. The terrace, offering plenty of privacy, is as wide as the property itself and provides fine views over the ocean. From the terrace a small path descends towards the sea, with a private sun terrace halfway on top of the rocks, offering fabulous views over the azure blue sea. Bathing is possible and reserved exclusively for the renters of the property, an unique service. Beware though that this platform and the sea is reached by 190 steps. CASA LENA has many windows, making it a pleasantly luminous house. It is fitted with air-conditioning and internet. The pergola overgrown with plants, next to the house, is a quiet and shadowy spot to relax. There is a parking place available at the private, fenced off grounds.
The famous beach at Conca dei Marini can easily be reached by car in about 15 minutes. Day trips to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello are well-to-do because of the convenient location of the property. A trip to the city of Naples and the volcano Vesuvius, with its famous excavations at Pompei and Herculaneum (Ercolano), can be made by boat or train. The islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida are all nearby, waiting to be discovered as well.
CASA LENA is a comfortable, discretely situated accommodation suitable for 5 persons with plenty of space outside. But the most valuable characteristic of CASA LENA is the private solarium by sea, a rare luxury.
Interior
Entrance trough descending stairs to living/dining room with double doors opening onto a partially covered terrace with views over the sea, sofa bed, two easy chairs and a TV. Partially-open kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and extractor, bedroom with double bed and double doors to small terrace. Bedroom with twin bed (separate mattresses), and two bathrooms with shower, wash basin and toilet.   Private parking available.

We have had two wonderful weeks, despite the rain en the wind now and then. The owners of the accommodation are really friendly and they are always ready to help. After one week we have got clean linen and another cake, delicious! The view is magnificent and the private rock where you could get in the water is really nice. It is a pleasure that there is a parking place and it is even covered against the sun. We did not knew that you have to descent hundred steps to the beach. The owners are living downstairs. We think that the busy road behind the apartment is a disadvantage.

We just returned from the Amalfi Coast. We have had a fine vacation, despite the fact that the weather was not so good. The house was fine, nice owners. They gave us a huge bag with lemons when we left. Unfortunately we could not use the terrace and the private platform by sea because the weather was bad. When we discovered that our refrigerator was broken the owners immediately placed their refrigerator in our apartment and they took the broken one, I really appreciated that. Good service. I think that the surroundings are beautiful. We made two beautiful walks along the coast, we went to Pompei and we visited Naples. Unfortunately we did not see you there. We tried to call you the evening before, but we could not reach you. Naples is looking like one big folk-district. About tips/criticism: we would like to have some more (English) tourist information in the house. The tourist information was very restricted. Possibly we will use your services again.
