The apartment Gioia is situated in the lovely village of Vettica, to the west of Amalfi, high situated on the rocks and surrounded by citrus trees and vineyards. Vettica is a hamlet between the busy Amalfi and the green village of Conca dei Marini. During the middle ages the trade route ‘via Maestra dei Villaggi' lead along charming villages like Pastena, Pogerola, Lone, Vettica and Tovere. This route still leads you through the miraculous world of step after step along small, pastel coloured villages, beautiful gardens and unequalled vistas.
The apartment is situated in a small-scaled residential area. You can reach Casa Gioia via a path and about 60 stairs along the common Mediterranean garden. The house has a living/sleeping part, a small bedroom with a bunk bed (indicated for children), a compact kitchen, a bathroom and a private terrace. Modern comfort like a washing machine, television with satellite link, heating and air-conditioning is present. From the furnished balcony you enjoy a beautiful view over the coast line and the sea. Its central position at the coastline makes it possible to visit Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. A day-trip to the unique city of Naples and the mysterious Vesuvius with her famous archaeological sites Pompei and Ercolano can be made by boat or bus. The islands Capri, Ischia and Procida are well to reach via the harbours of Positano and Amalfi.
